Insert EMF into Word only shows Icon, not image

Hi All,

Using Insert->Object and selecting the *.emf file gives me the file icon & link to file in ms paint, rather than the image itself. All checkboxes are unchecked (including the Display as Icon).  How would I insert the contents (in this case an image) into my Word document instead? Thanks

    Hi,

Two things come into my mind:

    • Why not inserting a picture (emf format is supported by Word 2010) instead of inserting an object?
    • Check all picture filters are installed (Control panel > Uninstall a program > Click Word/Office > Select Change in the toolbar...)

    Hope this helps

    Cheers

    Lz.

I faced this problem, but I managed to solve it, as following:

    1. You have to import the file in a form of emf.
    2. Then, from the word file you can insert it using insert ->Pictures -> (*.emf)
