Hi everyone,

Don't know if anyone has an issue to this random bug with word 2013, started happening just two days ago. the spell check compete notification just pops up out of the blue with no spell check being activated or anything and ever since it just pops up while doing work and keeps popping up repeatitively when clicking "ok". Does anybody have a solution to this problem, it would be greatly appreciated, :-)

Cheers,

Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

Before we proceed I would require some more information to assist you better.

Does the issue occur while working on other applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Notepad or WordPad)?

Are you working on a Laptop or a Desktop?

These issues generally happen due to a stuck or damage F7 key on the keyboard. So check the F7 key on the keyboard and verify the results.

You may also try using a different keyboard and check if the issue is reproducible.

Follow the steps and let us know if that helps. If the issue persists, reply and we will be happy to help you.

    Thank you.

You seem to describe multiple issues here, and you may want to post them as separate questions (in the appropriate forums).

As far as F7 is concerned, note that it is the shortcut for starting a manual spellcheck in Word, so maybe there are conflicting shortcuts on your system.

I am having the same problem in Word, Excel and Outlook. It is getting really frustrating. I get a random spellcheck or thesaurus pop up and the only way to clear it is to hit the ESC key a few times.

Any suggestions of how to remove this issue? Is there a corrupt file that I need to reinstall or should I uninstall Office 2013 and reinstall totally.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards

    Anthony

I am having this same problem.  "Spelling and grammar check complete. You're good to go"  in a circular pop up that goes no where.   I tried to screen print this pop up and mail it in Outlook and the problem shows up in outlook so that freezes up.

It occurred instantly on another laptop that was      JUST  connected on the same home wireless system.

It is connected with other problems  such  as   " Press F7 to to turn Carrot browsing on". This happens in IE11 and Firefox.   By the way   multiple keyboards    produce same problem.   See below, these problems are only occurring on home network.

Also is  Google redirects to  Google Phillipines      (google.com/ph) .   This happens in  IE 11 and in FireFox.

Citrix  stops working at some point when on VPN.

Windows Media Player can't  playback MP4 files.

Online Technical support tried twice to   clear all viruses and repair all parts of registry and optimize computer over a total of 7 hours in two sessions.  The probles were immediately present  with their signoff.

Now, here is the  interesting part.     NONE of these  errors, virus symtoms occur of of my home fiberoptic service.

I can  connect to  ATT Hot spot,   work wireless,    second home wireless in a different state,  with both of these laptops  and NONE of the errors occur.

I thought it might be a router problem  so   RESET the Netgear Router  (long reset, multiple steps)    and  problems still existed.

NEXT,  tried a different   NETGEAR Router and the problem still exists only at home.

I believe this is a virus that  is somewhere between my fiberoptic service provider and the wall unit splitting TV and internet  off and my router(S)     I have  asked for  my  assigned IP addresses  (limited to two by this service provider and  current Mac Addresses be cleared in the system and will get to try this out when back at primary residence in Ketchikan AK tomorrow.

Has anyone else noted all or most of these  findings?     IF so What have you discovered??

I will update after  trying out again tomorrow with  systeim IP address AND MAC  addresses  zeroed out by.  customer support.

Is it possible that your F7 key is stuck or there is a short that is causing it to fire intermittently?
