The only way I know of is:

Save file as a PDF using Print Menu if you have acrobat installed.

Then use a Graphics program such as Graphics Converter to save the PDF as a JPG file. You may end with a fuzzy looking document.

But if that's what you need, that will do it.

Thank you so much.  I had driven myself nuts trying to convert a word doc to a JPEG.  The free converson utility http://wordtojpg.com was so easy!  A Wizard did all the work in seconds.  You put it in your post as an 'also' but it was a life saver for me!

It depends on how long the document is, what it contains, and most important, what version of Word you have. Please edit your original post to change the "Applies to" setting to indicate your version of Word and Windows, and we can then provide more help.

You could go Full Screen with the word .doc, take a screenshot and use Paint to save it as .jpg..

Just for my own curiosity I tried an online conversion service which sends you a download link for the converted file and retains it online for 24 hrs. Email receipt was almost instant (~30 KB .doc file) End result was better than the first method I suggested.

There's also a small free conversion utility available which may work for you, didn't for me as I have older version of Office (2003)
