    Hi

This solution only works in Safe Mode, so be sure to enter Safe Mode and try this solution from there.

    • Open Internet Options window.
    • Go to the Connections tab and click the LAN Settings button.
    • Uncheck Use a proxy server for your LAN option and click on OK to save changes.

    Hi,

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

I understand that you're having issues to close proxy on Windows Settings. To further isolate your concern, we recommend that you create a Test User Profile. This is for us to know if the issue is not with your existing User Profile. To create a user profile, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Click Accounts.
    3. Select Family & other people.
    4. Select the Add someone else to this PC tab.
    5. Name the user as Test.
    6. Set up a password.
    7. Hit Next.
    8. Sign in as Test user.

Once you’re already signed in as Test User, try disabling your proxy settings by following the steps below:

    1. Click the Chrome menu located at the upper right corner.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Choose the Show advanced settings option at the bottom of the page.
    4. Under Networks, Click Change proxy settings.
    5. Click LAN settings.
    6. Uncheck the checkbox beside Use a proxy server for your LAN.
    7. Hit OK.
