    Hi,
1.How did you start the remote connection from the client to server 2012? What is the OS of client you are using?
For normal remote connection starting via mstsc command on Windows 10 client, the port redirection is accomplished by enabling port redirection policy on target server and then check the port redirection option in mstsc.

    Windows Components\Terminal Services\Terminal Server\Device and Resource Redirection
"Do not allow COM port redirection"
    "Do not allow drive redirection"

2.Per further checking, one user confirmed that you can not delete the ports prior to redirecting them.

3.Not sure if you are using citrix servers, but kindly check if the guidance below could assist.

    Hi Dawid,

Thanks for the update and details.
1.On server this policy is setting disable (then not block)
If possible, kindly test by change setting to disable and run gpupdate/ force to apply the policy.

2.if is no show on management hardware.
Could you please capture a screenshot for me to better understand "management hardware" you are referring to?

    Looking forward to you update.

    Thanks,
    Jenny

    Hi,
    Thanks for the screenshot.

Have you tested by disabling the COM port under device manager on target server and then remoting from client with COM port redirection?

Moreover, here is a powershell command to redirect Serial Ports in Windows Server 2012 RDS/VDI.

Please feel free to let me know if above methods would work or not.

Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful.

    Thanks,
    Jenny
