ReportViewer not producing report

Has anyone ever seen this kind of response from reportviewer? (see below)

I am trying to integrate reportviewer into an existing web .net framework application and am now beating my head against a wall.

The reportviewer works fine in a new project but does not work when I integrate it into an existing project.

I used the following url to install the report viewer both in vs2019 and in vs2022 with the same results:

I have no problem designing the report creating a .rdlc file and connecting it to the reportviewer and SqlDataSource.

My suspicions are that I have a package installed that is conflicting with the reportviewer.

Let me know if you have any suggestion or where I might start looking or if there is more info I can share to help find the solution to this problem.

    Hi @Cecil Jones ,
    What version of SSRS are you using? What version of report viewer did you install? What browser is used to render the report viewer? Please try changing browsers to see if you have the same issue. Does the toolbar look normal in the report viewer that renders the newly created report?
