Physical Server 2019 RDS Session Host with Nvidia RTX Cards

Hi All,

I have a client with a requirement for remote CAD access (only 4 users) and I was wondering if anyone else has used a physical RDS session host with a RTX card in Server 2019?

I know that the drivers for RTX card are not officially supported in 2019. But I am told that they do work even with the Win10 drivers on Server 2019.

if anyone has done this and has some advice that would be great. Just seeing if we can avoid purchasing a Titan or Quadro and SR-IOV support. And also the number of users doesnt require a HV host to host a single server.

Many thanks for any info you may have.

Andy

    Hi,
Thanks for posting the question in Q&A.
Per searching, MS only provided the basic supported configurations for RDS deployment.
Remote Desktop Session Host support for GPUs
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/rds-supported-config#support-for-graphics-processing-unit-gpu-acceleration

As for the specific card mentioned, it is suggested to contact the their support and get exact workload and verify if it matches the requirements of RDS deployment.

Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful.

    Thanks,
    Jenny
