can errors occured in system files be rectified by reinstalling windows 10 update 2004

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A.
Reinstalling updates may not offer help to solve problems caused by system files. You can download an ISO for in-place upgrade if reinstalling updates cannot fix your issue. In-place upgrade will upgrade your system without erasing your data and files. The steps are as follows:

1. Refer to the link below to download a win 10 iso
   https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

2) Double-click the ISO file to open setup.exe

3) Choose not right now in the pop-up menu

4) Click change what to keep and choose save all datas to start installation:
