How to use IPSec tunnel for my VM?

Hello,

I configured an IPSec tunnel between Azure and my Forti. The tunnel is operational, flow passes inside, I can join my machines to each other. The problem is that I have the impression that my Azure VM does not go through the tunnel to access the internet... When I do a curl ifconfig.me, it gives me a public IP that I do not know.. I despair, the support not bringing me answers that can unblock my situation.

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.
I understand that you would like to route VM's Internet Traffic via your OnPrem.

Can you please let me know if you have configured the VPN connection to forward Internet traffic to OnPremises?

If not, kindly make sure you enable Forced Tunneling.

If you are using BGP, make sure you advertise 0.0.0.0/0 (default route) to Azure from your OnPrem device.
