Removing authenticator from only ine device

Question

I have two phones with the same email address in each phone. I will be clearing one phone to resell it. If I remove it from the phone I'm selling, will it also be removed from the other one?

The other phone already has the new number and authentication methods setup.

If the new phone is functional in all regard with authenticator and accounts then you should be fine to wipe the other phone. You could also turn on cloud backup as an added protection.
