My Dell Pecision 7520 has a i7-7920HQ processor. It is not listed as a Win11 compatible processor. The older and less powerfull i7-7820HQ processor is. So why is the i7-7820HQ win11 compatible, but i7-7920HQ is not?

Hi @Jelle van der Linden ,

in this list Windows 11 supported Intel processors is a comment to the i7-7820HQ:

It might be this kind of modern drivers based on Declarative, Componentized, Hardware Support Apps (DCH) design principles isn't available for the i7-7920HQ CPU.

    Hi there,

The processor is selected by various parameters and the important one is DCH Design Principles.
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/develop/dch-principles-best-practices

Some of the 7th generation processors and all 8th generation Intel processors and their equivalent AMD are supported for Windows 11.

    Hope this resolves your Query!!
