Virtual switch on Hyper-V

Hi,
I have a question. I'm relatively new to Hyper-V (mostly works with ProxmoxVE) so I want to double check something here.
I have 5VMs running on the HYPERV01 server - this is my production environment. I'm doing regular backup with ALTARO BACKUP to another server HYPERV02. I'd like to do testing if my backups are done correctly (with no issues). I restore my VMs from the backup on the HYPERV02, all VMs have NIC disabled.
However, there some apps which dependencies on other servers. But with the NICs disabled it is impossible for these apps to work correctly.
So my understanding is to use either Internal Network or Private Network settings in the virtual switch. But I'm not 100% sure which one to use, and obviously I don't want to mess-up with my production environment.

Thanks
m.
