RD Licensing in Virtual Server Possible?

I'll be honest: I've never set up RDS. A server with everything else, yes. Never this. It requires CALs for each of my users, but that is all I know.

I set it up and got an error saying basically my trial will expire in 119 days.

Is anyone able to say whether RDS is possible on cloud? If so, is there a guide to this? Can't find one.

    Hi @Anonymous ,

    Welcome on Microsoft Q&A Forum.

    Let me answer your questions.
Yes it's possible to setup standard RDS deployment on virtual machines in cloud and the configuration is exact the same.
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/rds-deploy-infrastructure

However you can consider Azure Virtual Desktop service where Microsoft manage Connection Broker, Gateway, Load Balancers, Diagnosis and you manage session hosts.

You can find more information here:
