I can see that there is a Class named Microsoft.Unix.HeartbeatProvider
However, there are no monitors targeted at this class, only a rule named "Generate UNIX/Linux Computer Heartbeat"
The UNIX/Linux Heartbeat Monitor is targeted at the Unix/Linux Computer.

Does anyone know if there is going to be a separation of these two (like Windows Health Service) in SCOM 2019 future updates?

    HI Peter,

I think only the Product Group can answer this. For now they have not announced any particular information in regards to this and to be honest I doubt this will happen anytime soon. There are just other features, which are far more important than this (In my opinion).

    Hi anonymous user,

I agree with Stoyan here, we cannot know what's going to happen in the future, and only the SCOM product team can answer this.
If you have any feedback you can provide it on the SCOM uservoice page, you may also be able to reach the SCOM product team on Twitter.

That class and rule are actually used to generate the heartbeat event, which is then in turn trapped by the monitor.

I'm not too sure of what you mean by "separation of these two like windows health service"?
