I will try to explain as best as possible. If I add a computer to the AD using admin creds, and then remove
Those admin creds does the device remain inside the Active Directory? And if so if someone else from that AD logs into that computer will it auto assign that device to that user?

    Hi Mike,

Question is not clear but I understand you are trying to join the device to Azure AD via a admin creds and remove it after joining it?And assign the device to the new user? If yes read the device enrolment process over here. assign-local-admin

Hi @mike malloy , so I understand your question better can you confirm this is what you mean? You're an admin, and you add a device to the AD. You then remove your admin credentials. Will the device still exist? Yes. Just because you no longer have admin privileges doesn't mean it will delete what you've created. You just can't access it (unless you've configured non-admin access).

As for auto-assigning a device, it depends how you're assigning devices to begin. How are you doing that, or plan to do that? If it's through a policy requiring admin privileges on your account, you won't be able to since you no longer have access.

If you have a more detailed use-case please let me know and I can help answer more questions or find a good route for you to take. If this answered your question please mark it as "Verified" so other users can reference it.

    Thank you,
    James
