Good day,

current I create RDLC report format using report viewer in visual studio 2019.
I want the data with the number format of the report to be exported in the number format in Excel as well.
However, it is not exported as number format, but is exported as general or custom.

I through a google search that it comes out as custom when I specify the number format in customs format and export.
So, I formatted it as customs and exported it.
As a result, some cells are normally exported as customs, but Some cells are still in general format or unformatted.

my question is below.

  1. why the report viewer does not export the number text box as numeric format cell?
  2. why some custom text box export as custom format cell, but other text box doesn't export as custom format cell?
(they are different rdlc report but the number text box has same item(Ex : weight))
  3. how can I export to excel the custom text box as custom format cell?

please kindly check it.
Thank you.

    Hi @Chloe ,
I can't get your point clearly. Could you describe it with some screenshots?
Text boxes are rendered within one Excel cell. Font size, font face, decoration, and font style are the only formatting that is supported on individual text within an Excel cell.
Text box values that are expressions are not converted to Excel formulas. The value of each text box is evaluated during report processing. The evaluated expression is exported as the contents of each Excel cell.

    Best Regards,
