Restore Content DB from SharePoint 2019 Single Server Farm to SharePoint 2007 Single Server Farm

Question

Is it possible to backup my SP2019 Single server farm content database and then restore it on SP2007 single server farm?

I've an environment on DR site and we have limitation in hardware resources & cost to upgrade the server so we have to remain the SP2007. We would like to do a periodic restore of content DB from 2019 SP server to 2007 server farm but not sure is it supported since versioning is having huge difference.

Our source version is: SQL 2019 & SharePoint 2019
Target version is: SQL2008 & SharePoint 2007

Thank you for your post in our forum.

Restore from a newer version to an older version is called Backward compatibility that not supported in SharePoint as well as SQL Server.

Only Forward Compatibility is supported. otherwise, you will need to use a 3rd party migration tool to can restore to an earlier version.
