Printer: Konica Minolta c284e
Operating System: Windows 10
Internet Connection Type: Wi-Fi
Server Software: Windows Server 2016

I have "Built-In" admin privileges at the place I volunteer at, but for some reason when I go to reinstall printer drivers, the User Account Controls asks me to log in. When I log in with my user name and password, it says, "The requested operation requires elevation."

I'm relatively new when it comes to this admin/Windows Server 2016 stuff, so I may be missing something. Also, I'm the only IT guy here and the person who setup the network has left the organization.

    Hello there,

"The requested operation requires elevation" means that in order to open the file you'll need the elevated permission of a local administrator to take ownership and gain access.

It is possible that you’re getting the error message because of the User Account Control (UAC) settings. So, you can try disabling UAC to know if it is the culprit. To begin, follow the instructions below:

Press Windows Key+S on your keyboard.
Inside the Search box, type “Change user account control settings” (no quotes), then hit Enter.
Now, drag the blue bar down to the ‘Never notify’ option.
Save the changes you made by clicking OK.
