Apearantly, adding new Scopes worked by using preview.portal.azure.com, even as far as to the normal Azure AD portal. I don't know why it worked, but somehow it did.
Can't add additional Scopes to my AD Application
I can not add new Scopes to my Azure AD Application. If I try, I get stuck on an infinite loading Screen. A screenshot of it can be seen here:
I have already tried using a different Browser, the Azure Portal App, a different AD Application, and even a different Account. Unfortunately, none of these steps have given me any good results. Do you have any Idea what I could do about this? Thanks in advance.
@Bernd , This would need some more deeper investigation. It would be great if you can collect a Fiddler Trace while performing the activity and share the same with us. You can send the file zipped up to azcommunity'at'microsoft'dot'com.
Also when you share the fiddler file along with that it would be great if you can share the following information too in the email:
- Tenant Name/Id
- UPN of the user with whom you are trying to add the permissions
- Application Name/Id
When you share the details in the email, make sure you give the reference of this post in QandA along with its URL so that its easier for us to help you out.
Hey, I just sent out the data to that E-Mail Adress.
@Bernd i'm following up on this issue, are you still experiencing this issue? Which browser are you using? This must be a network/browser issue as I don't have any issues doing this. Are you on a vpn?
Yes, Im still experiencing this issue. I'm using The Chromium Edge, and I also tried Chrome on Android and Windows, Firefox on Windows and Linux and the Azure downloadable client. I am not on a VPN.

This should be fixed by now. There must have been some sort of issue with your browser/network as I am unable to repro this issue
If you're still having an issue here, please email AzCommunity[at]microsoft[dot]com and I can enable a one time free support ticket. Please provide your Azure Subscription GUID and a reference to this thread. And hopefully we can get you on the right path again soon.
Please see : https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/mschray/2016/03/18/getting-your-azure-subscription-guid-new-portal/
On how to get a subscription GUID.
In addition to that once you are able to resolve your issue with the support engineer, please post your response on this thread so that future readers will be able to benefit from your solution.
I am already in E-Mail contact with @soumi-MSFT , and waiting for my free support case. Thanks for the offer though.
