Hi team,
We have multiple VMs spread acrosss multiple subscriptions, I would like to use a single Backup service (Mgmt subscription) in Hub network and link rest of the subscriptions as spoke model.
Is this possible to implement, if so, please share me the documents for the same.

Regards,

D Thennarasu

    Hi @Thennarasu

Thanks for your using Q & A forum.

The VM you want to backup and the Recovery Service Vault must be in the same Subscription and It's not possible to backup VMs in Subscription-A in a Recovery Service Vault and in Subscription-B.

Can you explain in more detail what you are trying to achieve? Hub and spoke is a networking topology and not related to backups or subscription management.

If you want to use full VM backups then you can use recovery service vaults (one per subscription) and manage these centrally using Azure backup center or else use an Azure backup vault and backup VM disks across multiple subscriptions. This can also be managed using Azure backup center.
