hi folks

we would like to monitor our citrix environment with SCOM. as far as i know there are two big players:

  • teqwave
  • gripmatix

at the first look, they look pretty similiar. does anyone have already experience with one of the products? gripmatix seem to use primarily "squared up" - dashboards (add-on f. SCOM). and they are not fully integrated in the scom-console (in my opinion, we would like to have all the necessary informations on one location)

cheers

    Hi Sandro,

Great to see that you are interested in monitoring Citrix technology with SCOM.

I am working as a product architect at GripMatix and we aim to build Citrix VAD monitoring solutions that go far beyond Citrix Director, the free tool from Citrix. We think SCOM is the ultimate enterprise monitoring platform to do that with.

We have indeed built community dashboard packs for the SquaredUp platform to provide the ultimate Single-Pane-of-Class experience, while at the same time being able to drill-down into issues detected to find its root cause quickly. From our perspective, SquaredUp leverages SCOM its full potential.

However, you could very well use our solution without SquaredUp as we absolutely provide full integration with the native SCOM console.

We know some of our dashboards on our web site perhaps look too fancy to be a native SCOM console dashboard, but they sure are ;)

See below a couple of them.

If you want I can give you access to our experience center so you can see them in action right now.

Request a trial as well if you want to test drive the solution in your own environment.

    Happy SCOMing!

    Regards,
    Merijn

    Hi @Sandro D'Incà ,

that "gripmatix seem to use primarily "squared up" - dashboards" is not entirely true, they have also a nice "single pane of glass":

My sincere recommendation to you would be to request a trial for both products (both companies will be more than happy to give you a trial license, I am sure) and test both solutions, check the views they are offering and also the level of monitoring detail. This is what I would do in your case.
Both products are in my opinion mature enough, both are offering interesting monitoring capabilities, but I would chose only after I have tried them both, that is my point of view.
It can also be that, depending on the requirements, the one is preferable, compared to the other, so at the end it might depend on the particular use case.

Hope I could help you out.
