Visual Studio 2022 - unable to add or link references with new project

In Visual Studio 2022 Pro Windows 10, I am unable to add or link references with a new project. And the references are disabled on any type of project creation in C#.
I am targeting .Net 6 with my project and the initial references have a warning sign and display no path when I view their properties.
I am experiencing the same issue with the Analyzers.
Although their paths are listed and the files are there, it's giving a warning sign on each with no PATH in each of their properties.
On attempting to remove unused references, it just says there aren't any. Reloading does not work and I am unable to add any reference - including COM.

    Hi @Mark Madsen ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Sometimes, this issue is caused by the antivirus software(If this issue appears for all the projects). May I ask if you are using any antivirus software? If so, please try to stop it and then test again.

    Best Regards,
    Tianyu
