ADF Dataflow Excel error

Hi,
I am trying to read an excel file in dataflow using source activity. In import projection and data preview itself, I get error 'Empty string'.
When I open the excel file and expand some of the columns and reupload and run the dataflow, i dont get this 'empty string' error.
how to fix this automatically?
why this issue is occuring?
Please help me on this

Did you try to close the data flow and open again? May be it is an intermittent issue?
Are there any formulas present in the excel? or it is plain data?

And i wonder the error is gone just by expanding columns in excel.And one more thing i want to ask why it shows error in other source when i click this source data preview.

I suspect if there is something to do with the cache sink, and it is the reason why it shows error on that source is due the fact that sink order is 1 in that flow.
can you try to have a different sink like, blob or data lake?
And, are you able to see data in the data preview of source data set? Can you see the schema there in the data set? Is there any column bringing some junk data? Sorry for too many questions, i tried to replicate by collapsing the XL and uploading to ADLS, data preview works just fine in data flow source.
can you upload the file if possible with some dummy data, to try the same from our end? May be it is one odd case with your file

I am not able to uplaod xlsx file here. It doesnt allow xlsx file.
It is definetely not cache issue. Because same file is working after I expand the columns in the same pipeline.
Data preview only shows this error. I cannt import the schema also, the same error appears. -

can you please try to create another data flow with excel (before expanding columns) as source and csv as sink in ADLS or Blob?
