RD Client can't connect anymore to my local machine after updating to windows 11

I had this presumably straightforward setup where I have RD enabled on local Machine A with a public IP address, and an RD client running on my iPad machine B. After updating to windows 11 I'm unable to get Machine B to connect to A and the RD client throws the Error 0x300005f error.

Also, both RD services (RDS and RDS UserMode Port Redirector) are up and running and both Remote Desktop & Remote Desktop (WebSocket) are enabled on my native Windows firewall.

Hi,

It seems the RD is disabled after the update, can you check system settings and check if remote Desktop settings toggle is On? Also the system properties to allow remote desktop.

Check Remote Desktop services is enabled in services? Also if there is Firewall enabled you will need to enable it and allow access to RDP .

I've got that checked already, only difference is that I have unchecked the allow connections from clients with NLA as I'm accessing it from outside my home network.

Also, both RD services are up and running and both Remote Desktop & Remote Desktop (WebSocket) are enabled on my native Windows firewall.

Do you have firewall or VPN services or Antivirus that could be blocking it on the Windows 11 or the network? Please check that. Also check the IP address that you are connecting is the same.?

I have Express VPN installed but it’s disabled on both the host and the client machines, also I’m using just the native windows firewall and defender.

Do you have any logs frrom the firewall and are they on the same network when you connect?

I've enabled logging on the public profile (both devices aren't on the same network as I briefly mentioned in the first comment)

Interestingly, my host machine firewall did receive the connection over port 3389 as anticipated; however I still get the same error on the client machine. Here's the entry from the firewall log:

So seems like a Apple Ipad issue instead of Windows 11, can you try to connect from any other device if you have?
