Are alerts from Smart Detection of Failure / Performance Anomalies in Azure App Insights free of cost ?

I understand that Alerts in Azure Monitor is charged as per https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/monitor/. But I want to understand pricing on Alerts created from App Insights Smart Detection of Failure / Performance Anomalies in Basic plan and above? Ideally, I would like to see which is cheaper of the two for Alert purposes. Can some one advise.
