Windows Server 2019 RDS: Ignore login-username from thin client (Linux)

Hello,

I have a Windows Server 2019 with Remote Desktop Services.
The service consists of an "Remote Desktop Session Host" and "Remote Desktop Licensing".
It's just a simple RD without Web-Access or Connection-Broker etc.

The user connects to the RDS Server with a thin client which uses an hardened Linux OS.
User-authentification on the thin client happens through a smartcard.

For some reason the username on the smartcard is autofilled in the username-field of the LogonUI from the server.
Sadly the thin client doesn´t allow to modify this behavior in any form so I can´t adjust settings on the thin client.

Is there a way to make the RDS ignore this kind of credential delegation from the client?
Is there a way to always prefill the login-username without using any information from the client?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards
Kon

    Hi,

Can you try out the Credential user Interface settings for the Authentication, dn751050(v=ws.11)
