Reconnect NAS/network share (in Explorer) after location change

Hello,

I have a question about a network share (folders on the NAS). A client of ours works in two locations for his company.

The NAS is located at location A. He can link to the IP address of the NAS directly here in his Windows Explorer, adding the corresponding folder to his explorer.

When he goes to work at location B, he can connect to the folder via a VPN connection.

However, when he returns to location A, Windows requires that the connection to the network share be removed (i.e., the folder removed from the explorer) and then reconnected. The IP address remains, logically, unchanged as does the location of the folder and the credentials already stored.

I can imagine that Windows does this somewhere behind the scenes, for security reasons, but is it possible to prevent the network folder from having to be re-established every time the working location changes (i.e. delete the old folder from explorer and then reconnect it, using the same credentials).

Thanks in advance!
