Microsoft Edge no longer launches after installing this KB, 5017308, or the preview before it (5016688). In task manager, several instances start up with one of them suspended. They quickly close and the Edge window never opens.
This happens on existing machines and also re-imaged machines. We have tried removing some obsolete Edge settings in Group Policy but it does not seem to have any effect. If we remove these updates, Edge opens normally again. Is there a specific setting that we can try? The setting we removed is what creates the "MetricsReportingEnabled" value in the registry under Edge policies.
