Hi, I have set up a 2FA method and want to remove my password to complete my set-up in outlook (because you can bypass 2FA with just the password...) Hour long support chat resulted in: Dunno ask here.

So is there any option to activate passwordless without using the Microsoft Authenticator app or giving your phone number?

Thanks

Looks like you'll need the microsoft authenticator setup as prerequisite.

Yes, same as support and myself found.
But forcing people to instal your product to increase their security... doubt that's legal.
Perhaps there is a workaround I am to ignorant to find, but seems like: ''stop using the product''. is the answer then?

That's fine, if you have a windows 10 pc then you already have the feedback app. As to the question, the microsoft authenticator setup is a prerequisite to passwordless setup for your microsoft account.
