Is there anyway to see all requests done via REST API? I want to be able to monitor REST API calls done by a client ID. I've explored Azure Monitor and all I can see there are metrics on successful or failed requests etc. I want to look into what specific APIs were called, if possible how the request/response looks like for each call. Thanks!

2020-09-29T07:53:08.073+00:00 @Alvin Tang Can you please elaborate on your request whether are you trying to track the REST API calls for any specific azure service ?For example, for any application that is hosted on App Service, you can track the REST API calls by using Application Insights SDK in application code.
Also, If the monitor REST API calls are done by a client ID - Can you please share how is the REST API call being triggered? Is it just done manually?

Currently, I'm calling the REST API manually using Postman by following this guide: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/azure/. I have followed the guide and was able to create the resource (a page blob). What I want to see is if I can see the REST API call in detail somewhere in the Azure portal.
Reason I'm doing this manually right now is to test the flow that I want to run in my program.

Tang Whenever you create any resource or perform any operations, it will be logged as Activity Log and you can view the Change history which shows changes happened in the event. For more information, refer this document and check if it helps your requirement.

2020-10-08T01:30:16.083+00:00 Hi. I've seen the Activity Log but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. What I'm looking for is logs of HTTP request messages sent to the REST API particularly the headers, method, body and the response sent by the REST API which does not seem to be in the Activity Log. Is this currently available or do I have to do custom monitoring for this?

2020-10-12T08:52:33.667+00:00 @Alvin Joseph J. Tang AFAIK, there isn't option to view request and response of REST API in azure for your requirement. To monitor HTTP requests/responses, then the recommended tools are shown below:
- Fiddler. Fiddler is a free web debugging proxy that can intercept your REST requests, making it easy to diagnose the HTTP request/ response messages.
- JWT.ms, which make it quick and easy to dump the claims in your bearer token so you can validate their contents.
