Hi all,
I am trying to deploy a SSIS Project (With 10 Packages) (Visual Studio (2019) - TFS) to server (Integration Service Catalogs ),but ending with below error

"Failed to deploy project. For more information, query the operation_messages view for the operation identifier '1729'. (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)"
When i queried for above error in SSISDB - operation_messages , found below message :

Failed to deploy the project. Fix the problems and try again later.:The specified parameter value string is too long. The string must be no more than 8000 characters.

I cross verified but there is no parameter with more than 8000 characters.
I tried deploying multiple ways but no luck. 243925-ssis-deployment-issue.png

    Hi @Gopinath Desai ,

    1. It seems that your SSIS run-time is SQL Server 2019 RTM build. It is a good idea to apply the latest CU17, and bring it up to the 15.0.4249.2 build.
    2. Please check that VS2019 SSIS project TargetServerVersion setting value is matching SSIS run-time on a server, i.e. SQL Server 2019.
    3. You need to check if you have enough rights on the server for your AD account:
      • Membership to the ssis_admin database role.
      • Or Membership to the sysadmin server role.

    Hello,

I know it's been awhile but I had the same problem and figured it out that I wasn't a member of sysadmin role and that's why I got the error. After the permissions were set it worked like a charm.

    Maybe it will help somebody.
