Bot Channels Registeration depracated and unable to deploy resource in azure

Question

I have created a new bot resource and according to ms docs it should have created a bot channel registration resource. Has the bot channel registration been integrated with bot service or is there a step I'm missing. Do I need to create an addition resource to the one existing

for context, I have:

bot service (configured with App ID/secret/App insights)
App insights
LUIS App

Also my bot is unable to authorise

'There was an error sending this message to your bot: HTTP status code Unauthorized'

Am I missing something???
