Good afternoon,

We are receiving this error message. I'm surprised the Microsoft Search Engine, Bing, and Azure Support Documentation gives no explanation as to what it could possibly mean and completely fails to acknowledge it.. Any explanation or clues as to how this error message came into being would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, there is no way to remove it.

Thanks, all!

    Hello @Rich Hartman ,

Thanks for your post! I have spoken with my colleagues from the Azure Backup Team and was able to confirm that this is an ongoing issue that has been reported to our Product Group Team and it's simply a visual error that is under investigation. If you would like more information on an exact ETA for the fix, we would be happy to raise a support ticket for you, but at this time no action is needed on your end as this is simply a visual bug with the Portal GUI.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns and we'll be happy to help you further.

    Thanks!
    Carlos V.

I am about to create a new post for this topic since there is no article/docs/discussion when I search about this "inconsistent backup". Thanks @Carlos Villagomez We're waiting for an update from Azure Backup Team. ;)

    Cheers!

There is a manual workaround to clear the warning message. I had the same warning message in my lab environment, and by performing a minor update to my backup policy, the message was cleared.

From the Recovery Service Vault > Backup Policies > select the Backup policy that is associated to the VM(s) > modify the backup time (I modified mine by a half hour) > Update > Refresh. You can then modify the policy again to go back to its original time, update, refresh. Go to the Azure VM > Backup blade > Message should be cleared.

***This would be time consuming to do this workaround for those with many subscriptions, and many RSV's and backup policies. If you prefer to wait for the fix from Product Group team, please do so.
