Since update Authenticator App crashes on opening app

Since updating the app last week the app crashes every time I open it. I am using an iPhone 8. Ive restarted and hard restarted the phone and recently updated the iOS (after the problems started occurring). but nothing has fixed it. I would delete the app and re-install but I am not sure if my account was set to backup to icloud and I now can set it too outside the app

    Quick update: I was able to add my other accounts and the app seems to be stable now. Here are the steps that I did:

    1. Revoke all authenticator access via the MS account portal.
    2. Re-install the app on the iOS device.
    3. Add the MS account. When prompted to choose an existing MS account (e.g. probably configured in Mail so it was being picked up by the app), ignore that and add a new account from scratch.
    4. Go through the authentication process and eventually, the authenticator will sync.

    (I would only recommend this if you only have your Microsoft account tied to the Authenticator).
