Hi,
I'm aware of this question to supress alert notifications azure-alert-suppression.html
Is there a way to supress the fire or trigger of the alert so as not to incur additional costs (eg alerts firing during the night or weekend). I've only found Alert Processing Rules that allow for the supression of notifications with the alerts still firing.
Any assistance would be appreciated

be careful if you plan on using automation to suppress your alerts.
you may spend more on the automation than the original alerts!
either way you're only saving micro cents per alert.
If you're getting thousands of alerts which might add up to a dollar or 2 then you have a bigger issue with alert tuning.

Only just by disabling the alert rules. When they are disabled, they cost zero

I believe you can automate such a process (to disable Azure Monitor Alert Rules, by using an Azure Automation PowerShell Runbook to run various cmdlets that are getting the Alert Rules then Disables them.
