Below actions fixed the issue for us.
- Remove any exisiting mail contacts from Exchange Admin Center.
- Remove user from Azure AD.
- Invite the user again.
- Visit the Invite Redemption URL.
- You were able to accept the invite without any issue.
Issue was being created by an existing Exchange Contact removal of which fixed the issue.
