I'm not sure how to explain it as I don't understand it...

In the Microsoft Authenticator for iphone app, on the home screen, I have say facebook, then my username and then a 6 digit code that regenerates every 30 seconds.

how do I get those from my old phone to my new one?

EDIT: I fixed the issue by going to each account, turning off 2FA and then on again and using the new phone to scan the 2FA barcode.

You can restore from backup (assuming there was one) but make sure no accounts have been added to the newly install app. Then sign on with recovery account to do the restore.

You can recover your account credentials from your cloud account, but you must first make sure that the account you're recovering doesn't exist in the Microsoft Authenticator app. For example, if you're recovering your personal Microsoft account, you must make sure you don't have a personal Microsoft account already set up in the authenticator app. This check is important so we can be sure we're not overwriting or erasing an existing account by mistake.

    I've done that,

Done what? On the old phone within authenticator app you'll need to turn on cloud backup and initiate a backup, then on new phone before adding any accounts in authenticator sign on with recovery account to do the restore.

thanks for persisting with this. In the attached image (from google) it shows accounts and rolling codes, the old phone has them but I can't get them on the new phone.
