I am trying to create a Azure Synapse Link to connect Microsoft Dataverse data to Azure Synapse Analytics. I am following this documentation https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/data-platform/azure-synapse-link-synapse.

One of the pre-requisities is:

  • The storage account and Synapse workspace must be created in the same Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) tenant as your Power Apps tenant.

Is there a possibility to create a Azure Synapse Link to Power Apps tenant that is in a different directory?

    Hello @Klassik-8038,

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Unfortunately, no. As called out by the product team in public documentation, in order to use Synapse link feature to connect Dataverse to Azure Synapse, then the storage account and Synapse workspace must be created in the same Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) tenant as your Power Apps tenant and the storage account and Synapse workspace must be created in the same region as the Power Apps environment you will use the feature in and the same resource group.

If you have feature request feedback, I recommend logging it in IDEAS forums below so that respective product team can review the feedback and will try to implement in the near future.

Please do share the URL once the feedback is logged so that I can also up-vote it and share it with internal teams to further review it.

    Hope this info helps.
