Hi,
It's been a few days that I've had this issue. Everything was working fine before and the only noticeable change I can think of since this issue seemed to appear is the installation of a windows update (KB5017308)

I think my computer fails to recover from hibernate (or maybe it just fails to go to this state ? what would be the behaviour then ? What I'm sure of is that the computer doesn't restart when I ask it to hibernate)

Event viewer says (with the date and hour of when I put the computer to hibernate):

When I try to wake up the computer, it just boots normally as if it was never in hibernation state. Event viewer says (at the date and time of the wake up):

I've tried several other commands but I'm not sure what i'm looking for exactly. Maybe some device failing to go to some power state ?

Any help would be appreciated as I'm a heavy user of hibernation

    Hi

Did you tried to uninstall the KB update that got installed recently? As the errors seems to be conflicting with Power Policy as per the error code in the dmp file.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/debugger/bug-check-0xa0--internal-power-error

    Hope this helps.

I was not sure if that was a good idea to uninstall updates and wanted to make sure that was related if possible.

From what I understand, The error means :
The system failed to complete(suspend) a power transition in a timely manner.
I have no idea, however, what 0x0000000000000005 power state and 0x000000000000000e sleep checkpoint mean (S5 being shutdown, I think that's not what the power state means)

    Hello there,

If you are not sure if this is caused by the update you can uninstall the update and check if you are facing the same issue. You can also go through some troubleshooting steps to narrow down the issue.

To keep your computer from waking up in sleep mode, go to Power & Sleep Settings. Then click Additional power settings > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings and enable Allow wake timers under Sleep."

Hibernation is another power-saving mode in our Windows but it’s also known to interfere with the sleep mode and cause the computer will not wake up from sleep mode in Windows 10 problem. So we can try to disable and enable the feature to see if it fixes the issue.

Fast startup is a feature in Windows 10 that helps our computers restart faster. But sometimes it can mess up with the shutdown/boot up process, hence the computer will not wake up from sleep mode Windows.
