If I upgrade DPM2019 to DPM2022 ? Do I need to get new license key

My organization using System Center 2019 DPM, we want to upgrade DPM 2019 full license to 2022 full version so as to support VMware 7.0.x.

We have to purchase a new License key ?

You can upgrade to System Center 2016/2019 versions without making a new request if you already have earlier versions of System Center with active Software Assurance. Organizations with Software Assurance will be given a set number of core licenses dependent on how many processor licenses they have because System Center 2016 has switched to a core-based licensing model.

We want to upgade to DPM 2022 in order to backup VMware 7.0.x.
