Change ownership in M365 Teams application

As a small company, we recently started a pilot of several teams in the Teams application. I now see that I am the owner of these first teams, but should I drop out in any way, is there a possibility to transfer ownership to another participant or perhaps the administrator of our M365 environment?

    Hi @Christiaan Boer
I agree with the above that you can change team ownership in the Teams client and Teams admin center.

A team can have multiple owners, and you can directly change the member to owner and then exit.

If you are a team owner, you can refer directly to the steps in the article.

The steps to set up in Teams admin center are as follows. You need to have administrator privileges.

    Hi @Christiaan Boer

You can either add another owner to the Team in MS Teams or use Microsoft Teams Admin Center to transfer ownership:

    Make someone a team owner

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/make-someone-a-team-owner-09eb80c1-9f3b-4f6c-b6c0-45555d46ee2a

    Teams Admin Center

    1) Go to https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/teams/manage

    2) Choose a team

    3) Choose + Add under Members

    4) Add a member

    5) Change role from Member to Owner

Once you have added another owner you can remove yourself from being an owner.

    Hello Dillon,
I tried to login to Microsoft Teams Admin Center, but I’m not allowd to login there.
Who has the rights to login to Microsoft Teams Admin Center?
    Is that A system administrator?

    Grts Christiaan
