Does Azure MARS re-try after failure automatically?

Hello,
I'm looking to deploy the MARS agent and I'm doing some testing.
We just have 1 backup vault and testing with 10mb folder.

I've tried to cause twice an error (removing the connection during backup)

In the first instance, when the connection came back, the backup was resumed after failing and uploaded in azure.
In the second instance, when the connection came back, I had a message to restart the agent and re-run the backup.

What's the expected behaviour? if it dosen't do automatically do I need to use the PowerShell script that is on the backup page FAQ? (it looks like that that is mostly for VM services)

From the details shared in the original post I understand that your first backup went well when the connection was interrupted and restored. However, it failed in the second instance. The expected behavior is, it should resume backup when the connection is restored. In your case it failed, so we need to check what went wrong that blocked resuming of backups. It could be that MARS agent services were in stopped state even after the connection was restored. Restarting MARS agent or re-running backup services should resolve the issue.
