What all should I set up with DevOps for a new project

Hi all;

I am about to start a new project for an entity that has no internally developed software. So I can use anything, do anything. There is no installed base, no required tools or platform, etc.

The app is like a simplified basic Salesforce app. So it's built around users, campaigns, & tasks that are all updated. And then alerts, reporting and simple email from it. My plan is to write the server side in ASP.NET core and host on Azure making use of the Azure stack. Client side for browsers likely Blazor or Angular and for phones use MAUI.

So...

What all should I do to best set this up in DevOps? I'm assuming more than just creating a Git repository. And what should I do for the DevOps equivalent of JIRA (or should I use JIRA)? Is there some document or web page that is short, succinct, and walks through all that should be set up for a project?

I've got experience using all these DevOps tools, but I've never set them up myself. And I'm trying to avoid the days and days of classes to become an expert DevOps when I just want to be told do A, B, C and trust us - that's the right decision.

thanks - dave
