Changing corporate devices from one update ring group to another

Hi,

I have recently set up intune on all company devices which was working but a user later required access to the Microsoft insider preview updates, I have created a seperate group for the user and also created seperate groups for each department.
How long does it take for the new update ring group options to apply on the devices? Or is there something else I need to do to force the insider preview updates to become available? I've heard someone mention retiring and unenrolling from intune and then re enrolling?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

@Alex Maitland , Based as I know, the refresh cycle for windows 10/11 PCs enrolled into Intune is 8 hours. But you can sync to get the policy. You can go to the device side, click Settings->Accounts-> Access work or school->find the account and click info, then click sync to get policy.

However, if it is still not working, you can check the policy deployment status in the Intune Portal and check the Registry keys on the device side to confirm if the policy is deployed successfully. Here is a link with more details for your reference:

    Hope it can help.
