MailSearchFolder not working correctly

Hello,
i am trying to use a mailSearchFolder to receive mails fitting the filterQuery-Property of the mailSearchFolder.
It is possible to create one and this one is visibel on the Outlook Web App. But if i send new messages fulfilling the filterQuery, they aren't shown inside the mailFolder.
Do you know why?

I would suggest you share an example of the filter your using and if possible the REST request you used to create the Search Folder, does the folder contain items that meet the criteria that are already in the mailbox ?

I use the Java SDK :

graphServiceClient.users(targetMail)
.mailFolders(inboxMailFolderId)
.childFolders()
.buildRequest()
.post(mailSearchFolder)

this is the way i used to create the mailSearchFolder.

filterQuery = "contains(subject, 'Test')"

The created searchFolder does not contain any items that meet the criteria. If i send new message to the mailbox, they aren't shown in this folder also

Have you tried querying the search folder back in the Graph API does it return any messages or show an Item count ? if you don't get any messages when you use the Graph it most likely the Id's you included in the creation request are wrong.

Also Search folders aren't supported in Outlook Web App so you might want to also test to see if it will work using the normal Outlook Desktop client.

No i didn't try to check the folders item inside the application. Thank you for the hints.
