i was also looking for a solution for a long time. actually it's quite simple:
just hit control+option+q at the same time - and magic happens - the "@" sign appears :-)

It's not possible to type a at sign "@" by pressing “opt+2” or "opt+G" on a typical de-ch keyboard layout in RD Client 10.4.4 on ipad with apple magic keyboard.
Do anyone knows the solution?

Would be awesome, if someone would give some love and maybe enable CTRL + ALT + 2 as a combination if the target layout is swiss german

i'm using a german (de only...) layout on my smartfolio keyboard - reading your question again i just realize you're using an apple magic keyboard... have to check that...

After changing the keyboard layout to germany the shortcut works. Unfortunately still with swiss german exists the issue. By using the on-screen keyboard and pressing CTRL + ALT + 2 the @ sign will be inserted.
The changing of the keyboard layout will be a workaround. I hope for a fix for using swiss german layout.
