issue with Github cloning with visual studio

When I add the URL for my GitHub repository and ask to clone, my GutHub credentials are requested but when I provide the credentials, I get this error message on Visual Studio 2015:

We were unable to automatically populate your Visual Studio Team Services accounts.

The following error was encountered: VS30063: You are not authorized to access https://app.vssps.visualstudio.com.

Any help on how to resolve this? My OS is Windows Server 2016 Standard.

    Please go to Visual Studio and sign out your account.
    Then, close all running VS instances and relaunch your VS to sign into your account.
