Hi All

I have a sharepoint site lets say TEST123 and the privacy settings of the unified group is Private - Only members can see content
Under Docoments-Library Settings-->More Library settings->permissions for this document library.
I can see 3 groups
TEST123-Members
TEST123-owners
TEST123-Visitor (there are no users under visitors)

with the above settings users are still able to request access to the documents i.e group owner is getting the below emails. group owner doesnot want these emails since the group is private.
how to restrict and why is group owner getting emails when group is private. experts guide me

I'd like access, please.

    @Roger Roger

    Private group means that only group owners can control group membership in an Office 365 Group. You won’t be able to join users into private group unless site owners add users into the group membership.

    Even it is a private group, if access requests is enabled in the site permission settings, users can send access requests.

    Please go to Site settings in the top right corner -> Site permissions -> Change how members can share -> Disable Access requests.
