Hi community,

I have just added a new physical domaincontroller to my environment (Windows Server 2022 on Dell PE350 with SSD).

I noticed a warning when running dcdiag:

"Active Directory Domain Services could not disable the software-based disk write cache in the following hard disk"

I could not find any best practice for that and on my old Server 2016 domain controller (HDD) there are no such warnings, so I assume it has something to do with the SSD and I'm worried if I could run into trouble...

Regards
Miranda

It may not be an issue. You might check if your disk and disk controller supports Forced Unit Access

    there is a Dell-Boss-Controller card installed. This is 1 Gen PCIe-card and includes 2 M2-SATA SSD's in a RAID1-set.
I was not able to find any informations regarding FUA in the documentaion: https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/boss-s-1/boss_s1_ug_publication
