SFTP Linked service from Azure

Hi,

I want to connect to a SFTP server which is setup outside Azure by client.
I am creating SFTP linked service in azure to connect to that server. Client requests IP addresses whom they can give SFTP access.

How to go about this? what ip address azure server is running on?
We have a Azure VM running too.

Any possibilities to use VM? Need details.

    Hello @Santhi Dhanuskodi

    I think you are referencing Azure Data Factory SFTP linked service to make connection to client's SFTP.

    Azure Data Factory compute is done on a managed pool. IP address might be different every time.

    Thank you for posting query in Microsoft Q&A Platform.

    Any type of resource(in this case SFTP) if its outside of Azure or in Private network then we should consider using Self-hosted IR. We need to install selfhosted IR in that network and register it. Click here to know more about selfhosted IR.

    Kindly consider checking below video as well. Where I explained how to setup selfhosted IR.

    In your case the machine in which you setup selfhosted IR then machines public IP address you can share to get access.
